I see how you would use timesheets for efficiency. How do you balance between quality and efficiency though? Are you able to use a timesheet for that?
The quality of an employee’s work is something that can only be determined by a human being. I don’t think a computer program is going to help much with that. In fact, this is true of employee efficiency as well, but here we use software to collect certain data, and then analyze that data.
The quality of an employee’s work is often subjective and is something that the boss will periodically (if not constantly in some cases) examine. If it is determined satisfactory, it will be shared in performance reviews and rewarded as a raise or bonus.
