Restrict Time Entry By IP Address

These days, employees don’t clock in with a physical punch clock. They clock in from any computer or device that is connected to the internet.

But does this convenience mean a sacrifice of accuracy and control? If employees can clock in from any device, then couldn’t they clock in from home or from their cars?

We hear these questions a lot. The answer is no!

The system is designed to be flexible. Employees can be given liberty to clock in from anywhere, but clock in can also be restricted by IP address. This means that employees would only be able to clock in from IP addresses that you approve.

You can add as many IP addresses to your list of approved locations as you want, and you can pick and choose which employees get the restrictions.

With the settings in place, employees will be locked out of clocking in and out unless they are using an approved IP.
